This page explains how to request deletion of your Data Drop account and the data associated with it. Data Drop is a service of Data Drop LLC. For full details on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy.
How to request deletion
To request that your Data Drop account and associated data be deleted, email info@datadrop.co from the email address on your account, with the subject line “Delete my account”. Please include:
- The full name on the account
- The email address used to sign in
- Your company name (if known)
We will verify the request and delete your data within 30 days, and confirm by email once it is complete.
Team members
Data Drop accounts for technicians and team members are created and managed by their company’s lead account (the account owner). If you are a team member, you may ask your account owner to remove your account, or contact us directly at the address above and we will coordinate the deletion.
What data is deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove the personal and application data associated with it, including:
- Your account profile — name, email address, and login credentials
- Test results, equipment records, and other application data you created
- Photos you uploaded
- Device and session identifiers used for app sign-in
What data is kept
We may retain a limited set of records where required for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes — for example, billing and payment transaction records associated with a paid subscription. These records are kept only as long as required by law (typically up to 7 years) and are not used for any other purpose. Aggregated or anonymized data that can no longer be linked to you may also be retained.
